Cost $65.  3 hour class (all materials supplied)

Lead by Judy Rogers, the Art of Portraiture workshop is suitable for beginner and experienced artists.  Small groups of students will be guided by Judy whose passion for portraiture drives her successful visual art practice.

Participants will learn the principles and techniques of life-like portrait drawing.  Through detailed observational sketches, they will establish a good understanding of proportions, facial features, expressions and how to make the subject look three-dimensional.  For more info on the Art of Portraiture workshop, call 0431 917 303.

About Judy Rogers
Judy’s artwork spans between intricate mixed media works and public sculpture.  She takes on a wide range of techniques from the ultra-traditional to the cutting-edge contemporary.  She is an award-winning Australian artist whose prizes include the ANZAC art commission by the City of Wanneroo in 2015 and, in 2016, she represented Australia at the G20 Art agenda at Hangzhou China.   Her artworks can be found in prestigious international public and private collections.  Find out more about Judy Rogers here.

Creative Space

Gallery 152 Creative Space is a workshop program aimed at encouraging engagement with
the arts through learning from our very talented artists and teachers. Students can choose
from a range of options from our year long workshop program that can be enjoyed as one day
workshops or residential programs over several days and some over weekends. Workshops
include printmaking, raku fired ceramics, indigo & shibori dyeing, jewellery techniques,
photography as well as professional development workshops for self-employed arts


Short-term accommodation is available in the four cottages located in a quaint 1850s heritage
building at the rear of the complex. The cottages offer a mix of shared and private room
accommodation with capacity for sleeping up to a maximum of 11 - 12 guests in bunks, QS &
double beds. Located in the centre of town, the property is close to the river and only 100m
from the supermarket, hotels and eateries. The cottages are ideal for residential workshops,
group / family bookings. Facilities include shared kitchen and bathrooms, free onsite parking
and an onsite laundry. Rates start from $44pp for 2xnights+ or $55pp for 1 night stays and
includes linen and GST.
